*Oink Oink* raise your candle to my creator Elissa DeFranceschi

1-2 @lizasphere
Elissa is a talented artist and designer and she lives among the stars. Wisdom of the cosmos flows through her, have the chance to purchase her prints and meet her heavenly hare!

3-4 @gracie_fruit
What are these Gracie? What is this feeling I can’t explain? Are we really all connected? Do we burn for each other? I hope so

5-6 @sirrrruh
Sarah’s experimental knit silhouettes are as functional and practical as they are whimsical and one of a kind. She makes it look so easy!

7-8 @jiltedvintage
Jilian is satisfying our clean street style vintage needs. With all of this weird stuff we are seriously going to need some cool classic pieces to tie it all together.

Last pour of the semester at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Not without some drama as the electric hoist malfunctioned (during a dry run with the students) and we had to switch to a chain hoist (hard to see in the time lapse) at the last minute. Always a good time!

Just got this painting back from a show, and realized I never posted the full image! Only two years late 😉 Going in a slightly different direction with my art currently, but enjoying looking back at the decorative and abstract qualities in this image. Now, my ambition as a painter is to be able to combine these abstract and decorative desires with a greater sense of naturalism and form, to portray through the figure, and the face, the emotions and soul of the sitter. To marry spontaneity and thoughtfulness, like fast and slow passages in a classical song. This is the journey I'm currently embarking on-- and although I've been posting less of my art on instagram, I have been making slow and steady progress towards that goal.

"Portrait of Grace Meredith," May 2019, oil on stretched linen, 30x40 in (private collection)
