I think today I caught one of the biggest waves I ever caught; I dropped it, almost fell, then saved it and then got smashed by the white water. The whole set fell in my head, but I was stoked I hadn’t chickened out.
—— but of course no one filmed it 🤪

I tought the waves would never come.
There’s a slight moment where i lost faith on this trip.
.
I have been practicing contentment. I don’t believe in being happy all the time, i don’t believe in toxic positivity, but i believe in gratitude and taking the time to acknowledge the things that are actually going well and that are good. It’s so easy to complain: My boards didn’t make it, then i flexed my magic board, scratched my ass on the reef, had 14 days of flat stormy and windy days. “We haven’t seen weather like this in May in 8 years” they said. Yea, it’s sucks.
But instead, i started focusing on what i actually can do, not what i can’T. I’m thankful for having met a bunch of amazing souls, i laughed my ass off, i had time to finish a book i have been trying to read for a year, i swam in the ocean everyday with all kinds of animals, i danced in the rain, i had friend therapy, playing cards never been this much fun and least but not last i’m healthy so i’m free.
