POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I don’t usually post but I genuinely had a great time and wanted to capture the moment with all these skilly goobers! 💛🫪🫂🫵🏾

Thank you, Anne for the invite to church, and thank you all for making me feel welcomed. 🍁👁️👄🌼

Happy Sunday! ✝️💛

Scripture: Luke 4:1-14, Ephesians 6, and Hebrews 4:15-16

Spiritual Resistance = where Christ can form me.

Q: What am I practicing now that will become instinctive when pressure arrives?
Q: Is there a need I’m tempted to meet outside of God?
Q: What act of obedience have I put on hold in waiting for God’s move?
Q: What happens when God doesn’t prove Himself on my timeline?
Q: Have some of the things that have become idols in my life obtained the glory and honor meant for God alone?

Stand-Out Point (paraphrased): “Jesus refused to turn trust into a test and manufacture a crises. He did not demand protection for every painful circumstance to have God prove Himself.”

• God is forming a people who trusts (and remembers what He has done) in Him without demanding He prove Himself again.

Putting together the Thankful 4 America book while continuing work on our documentary, Made in America: Stories of Contribution and Belonging, has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I’ll share the complete book here soon.

Envisioning this project, directing it, and now editing it in post-production has taught me so much about human behavior, about the power of listening, and about the incredible beauty people carry through their struggles, victories, losses, and their search for belonging.

As an immigrant myself, I have found pieces of my own story in so many of the people we’ve interviewed. Their experiences have reminded me of moments I’ve lived, emotions I’ve felt, and the gratitude that continues to shape my own journey. In many ways, this project has changed me.

Thank you to everyone who has shared your story, supported this project, and patiently followed along. We can’t wait to share the finished film with you. Stay tuned. You’ll be among the first to know when it’s time for the premiere. And a special thanks to my former student @audriyk for helping me put this book together!

They say you are a mosaic of everyone you’ve ever met, and I can only hope I carry even a fraction of the traits that make each one of these graduates so special! So proud to celebrate them and their achievements, and incredible grateful our paths crossed along the way 🥹💙🐾 #gojags #weareAU$
