As it comes closer to my five month lungaversary I am feeling very grateful as to where my life has gone and headed. I am not ashamed to have a disease that I had no control over, or the fact that I needed a #doublelungtransplant at the age of 23. Life just happens in weird ways. -I am so grateful today that my birth mother did not abort me like she wanted to. She and my adoptive mother knew something was wrong with me. My biological mother wanted to abort me, but my adopted mother wanted me more than anything. I am thankful that my bio mom agreed to have me, and give me over to my mother that I grew up with. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be here, on many occasions not just that one. My adoptive mother has stood by my side all while I was growing up. I couldn’t ever be more thankful for the selfless gift of life she tried to give me, and has given me. She taught me how to be tough, hard headed, and to go after what I wanted. If she didn’t instill that in me I wouldn’t have moved from Tennessee to Massachusetts to go to @massgeneral for a double lung transplant. A lot of people ask me how I did it, a lot of guts, courage, and other support.
I have the best support team you could ask for! 💕 thank you to each and everyone of you! I couldn’t have done this without you. -
I’m happy I was not just a liability and a disability to my mothers eyes! She just saw pure love! And that’s what people should show each other is pure love, no matter if they are sick or not. Just because we are born sick, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get a chance at life. Give us a chance! My mother did and look what happened! I’m 24 years old, living life to the FULLEST EVERY single day! Also, my support team took a chance at investing feelings, expenses, and time into me, and now look we have the best friendships/relationship! ❤️
Be kind to everyone! Everyone goes through enough stuff on their own, your unkind words don’t need to be added to the stress pile! -
