Sometimes you have to take a look back to really appreciate all of the work you do. In the moment it’s not always easy to see the bigger picture, and at times, singing at events out on the road and being away from family can be challenging and exhausting. Despite this, as I reflect on a beautiful Summer 2023 season of weddings, concerts, and other simchas, as a whole, I can now see the bigger picture of why I do what I do. The answer is simple- to bring SIMCHA- happiness, to others. In this video, you’ll notice my awesome new swag from @generationjinc from the creative mind of @jjsmolack - where both the front image and phrase printed on the back convey the message of “גדולה מלאכה שמכבדת את בעליה” (Masechtes Nedarim) - which loosely translates to the idea that whatever work you do, no matter how hard it feels sometimes… even if in the moment you feel that you’ve run yourself to your last bit of energy and it’s taking everything inside of you to keep going… is honorable. Own what you do. Be the best you can be. Don’t sell yourself short. Whatever you do, no matter if it may seem insignificant or that it’s beneath you- is honorable. Summer 2023 was a blast for me musically. Sure, it was a grind. But now I can see how worth it it all was. Here’s to a great new year for all of us! Lchaim! 🥂 Ksiva V’Chasima Tovah to all! #summer #wedding #concert #singersongwriter
