Sometimes a fresh start begins when you stop living by someone else’s expectations and start creating a life that feels like your own. ✨💕

For Genevieve Driezen, that journey meant stepping away from the life she thought she was supposed to have and embracing the courage to build something new. After a major life transition led her to question what she truly wanted, Genevieve found herself creating a new chapter in Scotland, finding love, and founding Fresh Starts Registry- a business inspired by the beauty and possibility of new beginnings.

Sometimes I look at Fresh Starts and think: this is absolutely wild.

Because this started as a journal entry. I had just gotten divorced, and I wrote down what I wished had existed for me.

I wanted to eliminate some of the overwhelmingness of divorce.

I wanted people to be able to find vetted experts without having to Google their way through one of the hardest moments of their lives.

And I wanted there to be a divorce registry — a completely free way for someone starting over to say, Hey, I need help rebuilding my home and my life.

There wasn’t one. So Jenny and I built the first one.

Literally, the world’s first divorce registry. 🤯

And somehow, that little journal entry has grown into something so much bigger than I could have imagined.

We now have the only divorce magazine in America.
A top-ranked divorce podcast.
A book about divorce coming next year.

More than 200 Divorce Registry Fairies — actual human beings who buy things off strangers’ divorce registries simply because they want someone going through a hard time to know that another person sees them.

And, yes, I am going to keep saying it: stay tuned for the television show. 🫢

At some point, Fresh Starts stopped being just a divorce registry and became what I can only describe as a media empire entirely devoted to changing the way we talk about, support, educate around, and move through divorce.

And we are still doing the exact thing I wrote down at the very beginning.

Make divorce less overwhelming. Help people find the right support. Make starting over feel a little less lonely.

I am so fucking proud of what Jenny and I have built.

And I am endlessly grateful to every expert, Registry Fairy, reader, listener, friend, journalist, partner, team member, and person who has said, Yes, this should exist.

It does now.

And there is so, so much more coming. 🩷

What does a truly child-centered parenting plan look like in real life?

It’s more than dividing days on a calendar.

We’ll talk about practical ways to build a post-divorce parenting structure around your children’s actual lives—including:
