A trio of unlikely classics once faced an adventure few owners would ever attempt. A modified Ferrari Mondial, a Porsche 911 Carrera, and a Maserati 2.24v were taken far from smooth tarmac and into the rugged terrain of the Spanish Pyrenees. These cars were never designed for gravel passes and rocky climbs, yet that was exactly the point.

Instead of pristine concours lawns or coastal highways, the backdrop was dust, elevation, and unpredictable mountain weather. The Mondial was lifted and modified to handle rough surfaces, while the 911 Carrera relied on its rear engine traction to claw its way through loose ground. The Maserati, a twin turbocharged grand tourer from the Biturbo era, added a layer of 1980s Italian drama to the off road experiment.

The result was a striking contrast between heritage performance and raw landscape. In a region like the Pyrenees, where terrain is unforgiving and views are endless, these classics proved that adventure is not limited to SUVs and rally cars. It was less about speed and more about reimagining what icons of Porsche and Maserati could become when taken completely out of their comfort zone.

Aujourd’hui, arrivée à Megève sous un beau manteau blanc pour la toute première excursion du Cayenne depuis le début de sa préparation.
Un moment symbolique !

La neige, le froid, le silence des montagnes… et ce Cayenne qui montre déjà qu’il est prêt pour bien plus.
Ce n’est que le début. Beaucoup d’aventures arrivent.

Today, we arrived in Megève, covered in a beautiful white blanket, for the very first excursion of the Cayenne since the build began.
A symbolic moment!
