We invest in transformative retail & hospitality projects that ignite economic development, build community & help revitalize Latino neighborhoods

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we honor the people and stories behind the places that bring our community together.

For BLVD MRKT, that story starts with our founders, Barney and Evelyn Santos. Latino-owned and partners in life and in work, they’ve poured their hearts, souls, and countless hours into these four walls, building something that’s become so much bigger than a food hall.

Today, BLVD MRKT stands as a community hub where local businesses grow, people connect, and memories are made.

But behind their 5 year milestones are the untold stories, the unseen faces, and the moments most people never get to see.

As Barney and Evelyn reflect on the last five years, they’re also looking ahead to what the next five could bring. Stay tuned for the full story ✨

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend. Be good to yourself and others. Con mucho amor.

✨ SAVE THE DATE – Sept 22 @ Plaza de la Raza ✨
What does it look like when we don’t just rent space, but OWN the block? 💪🏽
.
At the Eastside Hustle & Heart Entrepreneur Summit, my good friend @barneysantos will share how he bought the building where his business is located, turning vision into legacy. 🏢🔥
.
This conversation is more than real estate - it’s about economic power, community roots, and buying back the block so our dreams have a permanent home.
.
🎟️ Don’t just double-tap. Be in the room where this game-changing knowledge gets shared. Tickets are moving! Secure your spot today and invest in your future. Link in bio.

OMG! 🤯🙏🏽 There are no words to describe how honored & extremely humbled I am to have been selected as one of Los Angeles County’s 100 social change agents for our work launching @gentefy @blvdmrkt & @alchemycraft.

Alta is a project by @marcus_lyon and @ahumanatlas that aims to tell the life stories of 100 extraordinary social change agents living or working in Los Angeles county. These individuals are driving social change in all its forms, from public servants to entrepreneurs, and from non-profit leaders and activists to artists and scientists. People like Father Greg Boyle from Homeboy industries, Dolores Huerta, Cheech Marin, and many others.

The project will feature an art book and an exhibition at the Getty Museum showcasing ultra-high-quality portraits which are enhanced with image-activated oral histories and ancestral DNA maps. The project seeks to explore how we create powerful communities and positive change, while conserving the key narratives of our time for future generations.

Follow @ahumanatlas & @marcus_lyon & @camila_pastorelli for more information about the project and to see the other amazing projects they’ve made in Brazil, Detroit, and San Francisco.
