I have two Indiana Glass holly & berry candy jars available! I have one myself and love filling it with red and green M&M’s and setting it beside a centerpiece on my bar. Such an easy, festive touch—and a sweet treat within reach! 😉 #prettylittlepatina #vintagechristmas #indianaglass

Story time…I went to an estate sale this morning, specifically for the beautiful USA afghan. (Obviously, I had to get more than just that, 😉) As I went to check out and the workers were totaling my items, a man approached me. He said the estate sale was for his sister who had passed away. ( I’m hoping I don’t get any details mixed up..b/c you know, perimenopause brain 🤪) …He said another family member had come to pack up all of the things and get everything together (I believe he said another sister or something like that, not sure) and she was wanting USA afghan. She had said their mother made it. (I’m assuming she lived out of state.) But when he got to the estate sale, the two things he was trying to get for her had already been taken. And he really wanted to get those items for her. Before I could even get the words to my mouth he was offering to pay me double (I hadn’t checked out yet, but he thought I had) I told him you are absolutely not paying me a dime for that. It is yours, and it is a family heirloom. You deserve to keep it in your family. He said are you sure, I don’t mind paying you for it. I said no, I haven’t even checked out. And even if I had, I wouldn’t let you pay me for it. I said I hope this brings you and your family joy for generations to come because it is beautiful and worth keeping. He was almost in tears, I already had tears in my eyes. And I’m so happy that I could be able to give their family a little piece of comfort back to them in this difficult time. Some things you were just not meant to part with. I’m glad it’s staying in their family. ❤️🫶🏼
