‘The Aegean is its people… those who are gone.. those who are still here.. their struggles, their desires, their hopes.’
Patmos, Greece.
Summer 2026.
Blood, sweat and tears.
Laughter, dancing and endless focaccia.
Adult summer camp. Stick them in a never before tested setup, fending for themselves, expanding in ways sometimes unnecessary, shifting through the tides of moods and hangovers, having no time for depth or empathy. Work must be done.
Reminds me of the book ‘holes’ by Louis Sachar, and hopefully milder.
One wished they could have been sun-slapped, sea salt sprayed, siesta fulfilled rather than entitled attitudes and witnessing human behavior at its purest.
What a weird testing ground and privilege it was to have worked in an environment where the only support and motivation came from strangers that turned into love.
ευχαριστώ, merci, teşekkürler🤍

We had a BLAST!

thank you @dramafilmfestival for hosting us! thank you for this spot-on beginning to this new season!

AND WE WON THE SPECIAL JURY PRIZE!
still speechless, exactly like during the ceremony!

I want to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all the friends who helped bring this film to life, before, during, after, at or away from the shoot 🧬

JURY STATEMENT:
"With bold style and longing for experimentation, this film combines lo-fi live-action and conceptual animation, to amplify the rough motions of a family and a generation in arrested development. Overflowed with both affection and affliction, the film dares to dream in its own vibrant language. From camera to screen, from human to animal and beyond."

{This specific first award for this specific film, is dedicated to everyone who still lives while suffering from anxiety}

(plus a little bonus snapshot from my Q&A with @room548 , ironically mirroring what would happen 6 days later:) )
