Pushing 30 has never looked this good. 29 spins across the universe and I still get mistaken for being in elementary school. Thank you all for 29 birthday wishes. I still got it. And I still got so much love for all of you. Nothing but blessings and love to you all #PositiviNii #blackdontcrack

As I prepare to turn 28 tomorrow, I gotta also wish a happy 10th birthday to my greatest possession, my Squire Classic Vibe. This has been with me through the good times and bad, the great sets and the weaker ones, the bangers and the deep cuts, even doubled as my bass up until a couple years ago. You continue to be my whole world. You say what I can’t put into words. Thank you for being my muse, my storyboard, my lover, my security blanket, my war cry, the voice of all my epic riffs and solos. I will hold you dear my whole life 🤘

In short, the never-ending cycle: Artist makes music -> performs the music they made for an audience ->

audience listens to music ->

some, if not all of audience enjoys music ->

smaller group of people connect with artist directly ->

even smaller group of people provide patronage to artist to make more music -> repeat

When you remove all the tactics and general fluff that even I discuss here (sometimes😛),

Don’t lose sight of what this actual practice of being an artist is.

When you strip it down to the fundamentals, that’s all it is.

And the more comfortable you are in showing up for the audience you serve best,

the further this practice can take you.

One day, one step at a time ⛰️🧗🏾‍♂️

Shoutout to the homies dang crazy to realize how many years it’s been 😂
