The prep had its ups and downs with PRs and failed lifts and so did the competition.

Things got stressfull when I didn‘t lose as much weight as I had hoped with the gut cut alone, so I had to add a small watercut to make comp weight.
The stress of making weight and the pressure of needing good rest before the competition led to me getting close to zero sleep🌚

That night I made the decision to ditch my plans of playing it smart, staying conservative in each lift to reach my total goal. Instead I decided to forget about the total going into the competition, treat each lift as its own battle, have fun with it and go for PRs even if they were risky.

So on competition day even though I was subjectively feeling like shit I was hyped and I knew from experience that one horrible night doesn’t ruin a taper all the way, so strength should still be there.

After my scale failed me😂 I weighed in at 72.7 kg at the site and as hoped felt strong in my warm ups.

All Things considered I’m extremely happy with how the competition turned out!
It’s a little annoying to miss the 400kg total in such a way, but that doesn’t really matter - by next year 400 will be massively outdated anyways!!🎯
