Georges Mohasseb "Cycle of life " coffee table.
American walnut, French oak, maple, birch, and oxidized brass.

This collection is made of a combination of wood in various shapes and treatments, brought together by a brass support that roots the items back to the groud. The presence of wood is prominent in many of Georges’ designs due to its connectivity, its liveliness, and texture.

A culmination of Tribeca week: ISTANBUL’74 and Performa came together for a night of celebrations, following Performa Live on Broadway. Two vital creative communities, one room, marking the World Premiere of MUTTER: The Diary of a Mother and the launch of SEVENTYFOUR FILMS in New York City. With the added joy of celebrating a Knicks win together — what a night!

The evening was co-hosted by Waris Ahluwalia, Happy Massee, Pollyanna Rose, Anna Shimonis and Tim Verrecchia.

Scenes from last night’s red carpet arrivals to the World Premiere of MUTTER: The Diary of a Mother, directed by Alphan Eşeli, at the 25th Tribeca Festival. 
What does it mean to love something the world refuses to accept? MUTTER follows Gül (Hazar Ergüçlü), a young woman who gives birth to something inhuman on a remote mountain road — abandoned in an instant by her partner, left alone to raise a child that defies all understanding. Set in the fog-covered Black Sea coast of Turkey, in lower-class communities where misogyny runs rampant and outsiders struggle to survive, the film is a devastating marriage of social drama, creature feature, and matriarchal horror.

Alphan Eşeli crafts a world both viscerally stunning and emotionally shattering — one where a mother’s love becomes the most terrifying and most radical force of all.
