The Heiserman Hurricane Breckenridge trip is coming to a close! We took on everything Breckenridge, Frisco, Copper Mountain, Silverthorne, Georgetown, & beyond had to offer with Gigi & Chief! The Heiserman Four checked off A LOT of firsts and they can’t wait until their next visit. Sammie may have been the youngest hiker on our trek to Rainbow Lake. We floated, we hiked, we raced, we rode, we climbed, we played, we swam, and we made memories that will last a lifetime. We’re bringing the cool weather home with us! Until next time Breckenridge! 🫶🏻🛘🌲🌬️❄️

Visiting family in Eastern Colorado with kids gave us such a sweet look at some beautiful towns and places you shouldn’t overlook! 🤎🌾🏔️

With our 5 & 7 year olds, we’ve found SO many fun spots:

🐐 Lil’ Buckaroo’s Farm — petting zoo + farm fun in Erie
🌳 Parks + playgrounds — so many great ones around Erie, Lafayette + Louisville
🧸 WOW! Children’s Museum — Lafayette
🚂 Georgetown Loop Railroad — the perfect mountain day
☕️ Kismet Cafe — Turkish-style coffee in Lafayette
🥐 Jeannot’s Patisserie — French pastries + coffee in Lafayette
🏔️ Boulder — hiking, shops, food + endless family adventures

I loved finding the little local gems that make visiting family feel like an adventure of its own. 🤎

Save this for your next Colorado trip!

Denver was pretty great. 9/10, we'll definitely be back (-1 for lanes randomly ending with no warning 😅)

Happy 150th Colorado 🎈 What better way to celebrate than going on the @georgetownlooprr and exploring the Lebanon Tunnel Mine! Inner gremlins unleashed @kpantalones 👹

Incredible to think that in the height of the mining industry, over 8,000 people lived in this small mountain town!

The first destination-Denver, CO!

An easy trip nearby is the Georgetown Loop!

There are places that you visit…and then there are places that transport you to another time.

The Georgetown Loop Railroad is one of those rare places where history isn’t locked away in a museum—it’s alive with every whistle of the train, every turn of the tracks, and every breathtaking view of Colorado’s majestic mountains.

As the locomotive winds across towering bridges, climbs through the mountainside, and follows the sound of rushing streams below, it’s impossible not to imagine the dreamers, miners, and pioneers who once called this rugged landscape home.

Then comes the real magic.

Watching children swirl water through a gold pan with wide-eyed excitement, hoping to discover a tiny glimmer of treasure, reminds us that sometimes the greatest riches aren’t the ones we take home—they’re the memories we make together.

Explore one of Colorado’s oldest mining sites, hear the stories that built a state, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and let the scenery remind you that some of life’s greatest adventures don’t require a screen…just a little curiosity and a sense of wonder.

Some places simply leave a mark on your heart.

The Georgetown Loop doesn’t just tell Colorado’s story—it invites you to become part of it.

¿Te animarías a subir a este histórico ferrocarril? 🚂👇
