What a colourful celebration of voice, music and self brought to stage by @arthouse17, @thespacechoir and so many wonderful friends 🌈

A heartfelt tribute to queer people across eras - all performed on historical instruments, just as they were in the Baroque period. A concert like this has never been presented at Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht before, and we’re proud to have brought this unique production to life.

From early music like Bach, Handel, Bertali, Schmelzer and Vivaldi to m modern gems such as Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens and Somewhere over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz. This concert was a celebration of openness, connection and the freedom to be yourself — rooted in the past, while looking towards the present.

You can watch the performance for free on @earlymusictelevision

Day 2 highlights: Queen Emma Kirkby 👑

Emma Kirkby graced the stage as the Queen of England in an @arthouse17 production. A fitting role, we think. Day 2 was full of more highlights. The first Early Music Breakfast Show at @hetgegevenpaard, the Scratch Choir for Amateur Singers led by @lio.meunier, artist-in-residence @patrickrichardayrton with his freshly released Astrophil & Stella, the first Salon with @emmalisarx and Simon Mulder, and @ensemblecorrespondances performing Campra’s Requiem.

Luckily, we have the photos to prove it! 📸
