I’m happy to share that the major update is now fully operational! I won’t bore you with too much technical details, but I’m convinced user experience improved. Below is a brief summary of improvements. Thanks to @beginnendsnorretje for the great illustrations and to @gerald.durer and @graff.media for their significant contributions lately. If you like to contribute, you know where to find me. Update: * Visitors can now register for an account, giving them exclusive access to the Collection page to track their collections, which can be accessed online anytime, anywhere. For now adding and deleting items from the Collection only works for magazines and issues, books will follow soon. * The Magazines page now has an additional column named Published, providing information about publishing years directly in the list. * The Books page has a new feature that allows visitors to switch between grid and list display. This makes it easier to view and search the pile of books. * Both the Magazines and Books page load faster because of DataTables plugin to create the lists. This greatly improves performance due to server-side processing. This means that only the necessary data for each page is retrieved by the server, instead of all the data at once. In addition, it is now possible to order the lists based on a column. * Additional fields for information have been added to the Book (edition of, format, retail price) and Issue (description, size, pages) model. * The navigation bar is restructured and a Profile page is added to change account details when logged in. * The Dashboard page is now public, expanded and improved, providing more information based on the available data. * Added illustrations for missing covers to help identify missing information more easily, and included a summary illustration of Grafflibrary on the About page. * Improved the website’s responsiveness on both mobile and desktop devices. * Video page is now public, but still under construction as next objective. :)
