When I set out to become a physician, I assumed the greatest joy and purpose would come from guiding patients through injury and recovery. I do love that part, but it’s not the whole story.

The humans I’m grateful to meet, and the deep connections forged in suffering and vulnerability, and ultimately in growth, evolution and triumph, have blessed me beyond my wildest dreams. How lucky are we to share this existence. 🎢

New Jersey, you brought the stoke! 🤙🌊 Another incredible stop on our Out The Back tour!

The Jersey surf community showed up in a big way at Farias Surf & Sport (@fariassurfsport) for a weekend of surf storytelling, ocean safety, surfboard art, and good times. From big-wave stories to innovation and hands-on workshops… Worth it!

The weekend kicked off with a film screening of Inflation Point, Q&A and talk story with big-wave surf ambassadors Greg Long & Annie Reickert, along with Andrew Reinhardt, the developer behind our PSI Vest innovation. They shared firsthand experiences, behind-the-scenes stories, and the evolution of safety in some of the world’s biggest waves.

The night was full of good energy, @hitiderecordings spinning vinyl, screen printing, wetsuit giveaways, and a community coming together for a great cause. All proceeds went to the Alliance for a Living Ocean @alo_lbi , supporting their work to protect our oceans and coastal communities.

Saturday kept the stoke rolling with hands-on ambassador workshops. Greg Long shared a glimpse into @b.w.r.a.g training through a surf breathwork workshop, while Annie Reickert brought creativity to the mix with a surfboard art workshop.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, shared stories, got creative, and made this stop one to remember. Jersey Shore, you delivered! Until next time! 🤙
