Cant go wrong with white burgs & sushi 👏

Coche Dury PulignyM les Enseigneres 2019 ~ classic Coche with its illuminating flinty overtones, exotic yellow flora, lemon meringue, bergamot, a touch of lavish sesame; incisive & penetrating in every sip💥💥

Millemann Corton Charlemagne 2023 ~ more linear than the Coche, dripping with dilating acidity at first; lemon zest, lily bulbs, a hint of briny compounds on the backend; once the youthful acidity has settled down after 30 mins, this was very engaging, full of stirring buttery complexity✨

Arnoux Lachaux RSV 2022 ~ the first vintage entirely aged in ceramic tanks, amazing pristine cherry fruit purity, so much verve & dexterity on the palate, sleek sinewy tannins; really delicious💥👍

Tasting a bott of Bizot VR Les Paisseaux at any given time is already a treat because of its scarcity. But to also taste a Magnum is for sure a moment to remember🍷👏

2023 ~ crazy aromatics bursting forth fresh as a daisy, soaring flavors of cherry cola, soothing vosne spices, deep balanced complexity, only 500+ botts of this candied juice produced 👍

2020 Magnum ~ one out of 25 big format botts, tantalising bouquet, roses & violets, dense vibrancy with plenty of stuffing on the palate, raspberries, sarsaparilla, woody spices, silky polished density on the finish; a truly indulgent wine🔥

Plaimont Le Faîte Rouge 2020 •
This quietly packaged red has seduced me - it’s crafted from multiple rare varieties. Mostly Tannat, known for tannic structure and deep tones - some Cabernet Sauvignon - and Pinenc (aka Fer Servadou or Mansois), red-fruited, rustic and richly pigmented. You should know that I’ve got a Pinenc review planned for you. Now the name, “Le Faîte” is a technical term, referring to the ridge of a roof or sometimes the peak of a mountain. With grapes sourced from prime plots in Aignan, Plaisance and Saint Mont, Plaimont uses “Le Faîte” figuratively as “the pinnacle”, honouring ancestral winemakers who stored flagship wines by burying bottles in clay - a wooden tag marked the spot. • Saint-Mont AOC
60% Tannat +20% Pinenc (Fer Servadou) + 20% Cabernet Sauvignon Fermentation - Stainless Steel (SS)
Maturation - 12 months - French Oak • Decanted for 45 minutes - Needed more  • This is big, in all the best ways. Purple is the colour of the day - intensity so great the wine is practically opaque. Soft aromas of sweet-yet-musky violets usher in a feast of flavour. First, a hint of raspberry, then the purples, blackberry and damson, liquorice and blackcurrant leaf, mulberry and cassis - the fruit is framed by smoked cedar and earthy cacao nibs. Buttressed by high acidity, the primary notes have begun their evolution as hushed aromas of tobacco, dried black currants and biltong weave their way through the banquet. Alcohol is high, though perfectly in balance, the tannins are in plentitude but again they fit. Ripe, firm yet resolved like beautifully polished maplewood. This is a full bodied wine, muscular, and it is gorgeously groomed, refined. The flavour intensity goes on and on, as does the smokey finish.

Coche Dury Meursault Perrieres 2010 - soothing flinty aromatics, white daisies, wonderfully balanced, lime zest, yuzu, quince fruit; well focused vibrant acidity; this is beginning to peak very nicely✨✨

Meo Camuzet Richebourg 2010 ~ opulent dark fruits, cherry compote, hibiscus scented, loads of deep energetic tannins; need at least another 5 years cellaring to be ready🍷

La Tache 1961, ethereal & exquisite, woody meadows, dried rose petals, mellowed purity of tertiary flavors: tea leaves, bittersweet cherries, smokey incense; a long craving finish of tantalising fluid intensity.
