Oktoberfest is in full swing at Old World! This Orange County tradition brings together live German music, dancing, games, festive food, and plenty of German beer. We grabbed lunch at Willy’s Grill, wandered through the charming village, and stopped by the market for some sweet treats and European candy.

With its Bavarian-style buildings, lively beer garden, and festive atmosphere, Old World Village feels like a little taste of Germany right here in Orange County. There was something fun happening everywhere we looked!

Oktoberfest takes place every Wednesday through Sunday!

I can tell you firsthand the energy in Old World Village is unmatched. They’ve been hosting this since 1978, and it’s a festive German enclave hidden right in the middle of Huntington Beach. Cobblestone streets, authentic Willy’s Grill bratwurst, imported European sweets, and the legendary return of @marko.kavticnik.

How to get in for free:
- put on a dirndl or lederhosen to get FREE entry during the first hour (Fridays 6-7 pm and Sundays 12-1 pm). If you don’t have a fit, get it at @cadirndlhaus.

Oktoberfest details:
- open Wednesday through Sunday
- daytime vibe is super family friendly, all ages welcome
- nightlife is a 21+ party with live music, traditional dancing, stein holding competitions, and German drinks
- !! NEW bag policy means clear bags ONLY (they have Ziploc bags if you need)
- ADA accessibility - there are now dedicated and reserved seating available
- free parking structure right across the street

Come with me to one of my favorite hidden gems in Huntington Beach! 🇩🇪🥨✨

Old World Village has restaurants, specialty shops, a German deli and bakery, and so much more. We stopped at the Biergarten Restaurant and the pretzel is a MUST! 🥨 And we never leave without grabbing something from the deli to take home.

Such a fun little spot in Orange County and definitely 5 Stars ⭐️ from me!

My family is from Austria so being able to experience our culture in CA is so fun! The food, music and traditions are a huge part of who we are ! My grandma is 94, she was born and raised in Austria and all my family is still over there. My Oma and Opa came over to America in the 60’s. I was raised on all the German songs and recipes! The food, music and traditions are a huge part of who we are ! My grandma is 94, she was born and raised in Austria and all my family is still over there. My Oma and Opa came over to America in the 60’s. I was raised on all the German songs and recipes! If you’re ever in OC, you have to check out @biergartenhb
We were at the Wurst fest; they have so many fun festivals coming up…especially the Soccer Fest! This is such a fun experience and if you want authentic German food and good times; COME CHECK IT OUT❤️ thanks for having us!!!

Bratwurst, beer, live music, family, and a little bit of Europe without leaving SoCal 🍻✨

For the second time this year we spent the day @biergartenhb but this time we went to their Wurst Fest and it was so fun! From exotic sausages (yes… alligator & rattlesnake 😝) to the live music, bakery treats, and full biergarten energy — every corner felt like a mini getaway.

Definitely adding this to my yearly traditions! Add it to yours this year! 🤍

Our vintage British-style Queen Mary phone booth has officially been upgraded - and when you pick up the phone, there’s a special message waiting on the line.

Josef and Dolores Bischof created Old World to bring a piece of Europe to Huntington Beach - a place where people could gather to enjoy authentic food, drinks, music, dancing, shopping, and traditions that feel worlds away from everyday life.

For decades, Old World has been a destination where families and friends come together to celebrate culture, community, and unforgettable memories - including our iconic Oktoberfest and seasonal European festivals all year long.

It’s a little piece of Europe right here in Huntington Beach.
