Awesome day at NG West Bend! Watching the newest NG black belt tie his belt on for the first time. Some great instruction immediately put into our arsenal, thoughtful words on reasons, seasons, and lifetimes. Had a blast rolling with these savages and the rest of the team. Also first NG black belt siblings! And now 3 black belts leading the way for West Bend. Congrats to Joel on the big milestone and new beginning. Also congrats to Tim on his overdue first degree, and to Joe on his second. Forward, over. #newblackbelt #bjjblackbelt #firstdegreeblackbelt #seconddegreeblackbelt #wisconsinbjj

Here's a brief breakdown on the entry we drilled, we are on week 4 of the leg lock series. We go over single X, DOA, 50/50, Game over, 411/saddle, and end the system with a few modified advanced systems for students to start to see and work on over a course of 8 weeks. Monday - Friday 730am - 9am. First two weeks we developed control of single X, and the submissions attached to the series, trained them to be tight effective and safe. Every rep of the drills the students finish the sequences with each submission to the finish, following the sweep getting on top ..... . A student asked why they were having issues loading. After doing a; few live rounds with them I noticed they still needed to understand/ be reminded of fundamentals of the pushing and pulling of grappling. From half butterfly - the entry is based on connection to the leg hook of the inner knee. As we connect and bump them back they will separate our move forward. This motion we follow and hook onto. Using the falling connection to lift them easily in place. Then holstering/grip with vines to the leg. While the body falls to the side we block the far side hip and elevate into single X. Our body then follows the rolling motion of the opponents leg and continues to tighten as the roll continues into locked Ashi/single X. In this case they roll to the inside space. The GI practitioner needs to understand locking of the leg here straight with there knees and pulling into there hips not to twist the knee into a reap. We can develop leg entries and submissions safely and learn them correctly. Lowering the risk of injury when doing live training, sparring or competing. #neutralgroundcombatsports #bjj #ajj #mma #drillersarekillers #neutralgroundmilwaukee #utopiabjj #freebies #morningcrewbjj #singlelegX #cometrainandelevateyourgametoday.

Neutral Ground Combat Sports quintet team. First of all, great job guys getting ready and working together at the gym to get those hours in to build up a proper team. Coach Tyler did a great job organizing the guys and keeping everyone training as much as possible weeks prior to the competition. We faced Milwaukee in the first round and went to the refs decision and we lost the nod but it was a great battle but mostly all but 1 match went to a draw. Incredible twister from Tyler in the first round. Second round we faced Grafton Utopia, but the guys were warmed up and not going out sleepy like in the first round. PJ went out and got three submissions in a row, two head and arm chokes and a triangle from his guard?!?!? What? The fourth match Brice from utopia caught PJ with an excellent armbar. Bringing it to Joel Benson and Joel caught him in a head and arm choke from guard. Drawing out the final match and we ended up going into Third place. Sheboygan battled out Milwaukee for the first time, we all watched Big Jeff Sass do some work getting three wins for Sheboygan, Isaiah wrapped it up with back to back heel hooks. Thanks a million for the invite Sheboygan, it was a pleasure and we all look forward to doing it again. Great job to everyone that went out and competed. #neutralgroundcombatsports #neutralgroundmilwaukee #graftonutopia #neutralgroundsheboygan #bjj #ajj #subonly #hardworkdedication

Another promotion night in the books. Every time we promote our students its always a very unique and special experience for our whole team at NGCS. Every student of Jiujitsu has an individually unique journey they go through over the years, these two guys being promoted tonight was the OG NG Purple Belt of 13 years getting bumped to Brown belt. As well with one of our most competitive homegrown students getting their Blue Belt. Both these guys are class acts on and off the mats, excellent examples of our team. Congratulations Jeff and Cole both for your accomplishments. To many many more years of training and amazing adventures throughout the journey that is Jiu Jitsu. #neutralgroundcombatsports #AJJ #BJJ #MMA #PROMOTIONS #BROWNBELT #BLUEBELT
