Your hair changes as you age. If you are wearing the same cut and color you wore in your younger years, it might be aging you. Your face shape, skin tone, hair texture, and density all change over time. The haircut and color that once looked amazing may now be working against you. A few strategic updates can make you look fresher, brighter, and more polished without changing who you are. Subtle tweaks can make a big impact.

When was the last time you changed your haircut or color?

Ten years ago, I never imagined I’d be standing in front of a room full of stylists teaching hair color.

I remember when my youngest daughter was getting ready to leave for college, a client asked me, “Trina, what are you going to do now?”

Honestly, I hadn’t given it much thought. I was a busy working mom, doing what I loved behind the chair.

But that one question got me thinking about what might come next.

After years of working with clients and training assistants, I knew I had experience to share. I thought becoming an educator would be a natural next step.

🤣🤣🤣 Oh, was I wrong.

It turned out to be one of the scariest things I’ve ever done in my career.

It was humbling. Uncomfortable. Challenging. And incredibly rewarding.

I had to stretch myself in ways I never expected. Even now, I still get nervous before I teach. But saying yes to that challenge has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Today, I have a community of educator friends all over the country. We share ideas, techniques, wins, challenges, and support. Their generosity and willingness to learn from one another inspire me every day.

After 30+ years in this industry, I still love what I do. And one of the things I love most is discovering that there’s always something new to learn, and something valuable to teach.

Sometimes all it takes is one question to change the direction of your life.

Has anyone ever asked you a question that made you see your future differently?.

Thirty-plus years of convincing women to trust me with chemicals, sharp objects, and major life decisions.

Still not sure how this is considered a legal profession. 😂What’s your job???

If you’ve ever done this…thank you 🤎
Being a hairstylist is about more than doing hair. It’s building a business through relationships, trust, and word of mouth.
So yes, every like, comment, share, review, and recommendation matters more than you think.
So if you’ve ever supported me in any of those ways, I notice it all, and I never take it for granted 🫶
You are simply the best!
