Overwhelmed, shocked, and happy to receive the news that the publication about Signage Research in @abkstuttgart is a Hiiibrand 2025 award winner! The book won a Merit Award in the student segment in the Editorial & Publishing category @hiiibrand 😵‍💫
I still can’t believe it and feel extremely honored that this work has been recognized at an international level among so many strong and beautiful applications.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this publication happen ❤️

🧡 Munich turns orange again – and purple 💜

Our posters are hanging all all over the city, did you spot them yet? 👀

This year, we added a little colour twist…Orange remains the heart of DOK.fest München, the familiar colour that our audience has associated with the festival for many years. Purple now introduces a new accent, that further develops our visual identity and signals openness and diversity. In cultural history, purple has been linked to the commitment for equality. For us, this shade also stands for diversity, inclusion and justice, and for a festival that closely observes social elopments and makes new perspectives visible.

We can’t wait to kick-off the festival with you soon! 🧡💜

Introducing this year’s festival motives – and a new colour?! 🧡💜

Big thanks to our wonderful DOK.fest designer @gerwinschmidt_design !

🤗 We can’t wait for the city to turn orange (and a bit of purple) again soon! #dokfest2026

Prof. Gerwin Schmidt, Büro für visuelle Gestaltung, has contributed his statement on the Chair „Zig-Zag“ by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld – in honor of the 100th birthday of The Design Museum Munich.

100 YEARS - 100 OBJECTS:
To mark the anniversary, The Design Museum is presenting an extraordinary selection in the Pinakothek der Moderne: Design icons meet hidden treasures that have never been on display before. An exhibition that is an invitation to rediscover the collection.

Happy Birthday DNS is a joint project by The Design Museum and Nickl Connect.

We want to know what friends of the museum associate with one of the objects from 100 years of design history. What appeals, fascinates, interests them? What surprises, alienates, remains a mystery?

100 JAHRE – 100 OBJEKTE:

Was gefällt, fasziniert, interessiert? Was verwundert, befremdet, bleibt ein Rätsel?
