Ok so it’s live

I ve been working on this project for almost two years and I actually could have kept going for another five.

Corsetteria is my love letter to historical fashion, and the byproduct of a peeping Tom that will never probably set his aging hands on making a real corset, but will absorb every drop of emotion connected with time and fabric and the patina, and will try to tell that story with his own words, in his own little world. And if that is not the essence of Theater I don’t know what is.

I don’t have the arrogance to say it’s accurate but I started all these piece from existing historical references and patterns. I collected period fabrics and transferred them to jersey. I wanted my home, Venice, to be part of this and the feeling of being a tourist in my own country, more than a main character.

Verde d‘ invidia is the first part of a triptych I will release this year and I m happy it’s finally out of my head.

Grazie di seguire il mio lavoro. Ce la metto tutta.

Some thoughts about historical accuracy and its inachievability, corsetry, costume, my insecurities and my obsessions, and as always, thoughts over thoughts about beauty
