Book Review: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
⭐️ 4

First published in 2013, Fangirl by @rainbowrowell is a book that will always hold a special place in my heart because I first read it back in high school. 🥹

Back then, I related to Cath in so many ways. Being someone who found comfort in books, fictional characters, and the little worlds I could escape into, her story felt familiar. It reminded me that growing up isn’t always easy, that change can be scary, and that sometimes, we hold on to the things that make us feel safe while trying to figure out who we are.

Rereading it years later hits differently. The things I related to as a young adult girl now carry a different kind of meaning as a first time mom. It reminds me of the girl I used to be, the dreams I had, and how much I’ve grown since then. Some books find us at the right time, and somehow, they still have something to teach us when we come back to them.

And years later, this book angler from @get.filed is still helpful for bookish people like me! 🩷💚

Also, a little appreciation for my husband, who gave me this beautiful bouquet of flowers. 💐 There’s something extra special about enjoying a book you love while being reminded that you’re loved in real life, too, hehe. 💕

Better late than never.

Sharing what happened during @thecommonplaceclub journal hangout last August. 🩷

So happy to meet some of my old journal friends and new ones (hi @proeticshadows!)

I had so much fun with the stationery buffet (which I should’ve taken advantage of), making leather cover from @literaryleatherph , yapping and updating my journal.

Do you join journal hangouts? If not, you should!
