Alum Roshita Thomas recently wrote this insightful piece for It's Nice That. 🎉 Her thought-provoking article dives deep into the complexities of branding cultural foods, shedding light on the challenges of authenticity, representation, and commercialization in design. A must-read (in our bio!) for anyone interested in the intersection of culture, food, and graphic design! 🍜✨

On the eve of our first ever pitch competition, an appeals court blocked @fearless.fund from distributing grants from a fund created for Black women entrepreneurs. The ruling set an ugly legal precedent, but we will not be defeated. Our first move: give away a $15K grant to a Black-owned business.

It was an honor and a joy to host our community of Black founders at a special event produced and made possible by our friends at @northsix. Thank you to everyone who joined us and huge congratulations to our live-pitch winner @getadun! Co-founder, Tobi Smith, said it best - “Fund more Black founders and the world is going to be a greater place to be.”
