let’s be real 👉🏼 this sickness has taken all the fight out of me this week. i’m exhausted but trying to show up, but feeling overwhelmed. i don’t get sick often & when i do.. i don’t handle it super well. so if im less engaged… less excited… at least yall know why 🖤 throwback to a friend hangout a few months ago and all our kindles in a cuddle puddle!

my favorite thing about these small intimate author events is how cozy they feel. it’s truly like talking with your friends about their favorite books - except they wrote them! i loved getting to listen to @sarahabaileyauthor and @authoravahunter chatting about ‘sideline souls’ last night. it really made me more excited to read this book! this was my second time meeting sarah & she was just as fun as last time! congrats on your release day!

AUGUST SLIPPED AWAY INTO A MOMENT IN TIME

This whole year is going by way too fast. I’m taking reading a lot more slowly and I’m not sure how I’m feeling about it. Did I have an amazing excuse? Yes 🤰🏼 Could I be further along? Also yes. But I’m getting chapters in here and there and learning to appreciate audiobooks more.

This post is an ode to all the marvelous people, authors, and most importantly, the stories that have impacted my life. 🥹📖 Books have brought me some of my favorite friendships, memories, experiences, and connections, and I’m forever grateful for every single one.
