Congratulations to @jessellobetphotography and @shutterspeedseye ! You’ll both be getting tickets to a comedy show and also a gift card to @thetauruscoconutgrove !

We had a great time at coconutgrovecomedyfest! It was a night full of laughs, shooting, community and even side quests with Cuba Gooding Jr. (had to be there)! Special thanks to the team we were in contact with at the fest: Raul (@funnyraul) and Kelly...they are doing great things for the comedy community. In frame of the first place photo is @nathanjamesisntfunny!

Until the next meetup! Happy Friday!

INVITATION TO THE IGERSMIAMI COMMUNITY AND OTHERS

The Inaugural Coconut Grove Comedy Fest is Apr. 24th-25th. It features over 100 comedic acts! There will be stand up, improv, magician acts performing all weekend along with live podcasts. So if you like to shoot and laugh at the same time, we are looking for 5, potentially more photographers to be chosen at random who will receive all access passes to the festival to take photos and hang out! Let's support comedy in Miami!

2 people with the best photos will win prizes from @coconutgrovecomedy and @getcomedyseen!

To be considered, comment your name below for a chance to attend this event! Detailed rules of the contest will be given to selected photographers

Our ticketing service is officially out of “Pilot Mode.” Special thanks to @maxkaczor for really taking the chance on Comedy Seen to get us through the very first shows of our ticketing service. Everything went better than expected and everyone got their tickets!

Now that we are out of Pilot Mode we can take on more show producers. However, we still want to manage the flow so that shows have as much attention from me as possible. So we are opening up to other producers for shows with a show date in May and beyond, but if it gets too busy where I feel like I can’t give enough of my attention then I may decline the show and hopefully can work with that producer in the future. If everything feels really smooth then I’ll scale up to more shows. Eventually there will be no restrictions.

You will always lock in the current rate of your first show! That current rate is 12 cents per ticket + processing fees. This is way, way lower than Eventbrite and even lower than other discount ticketing services like Ticket Tailor. This allows the producer to retain more of their money and is really beneficial to stand up comedy in general. The current rate will increase as usage goes up, but we will always be focused on being positioned in the market as being a VERY LOW PRICED, NO FRILLS TICKETING SERVICE.
