Some gifts are bigger than they look.

Found this gem of a pic today. I am a little ashamed that I forgot that it existed. But once I saw it. I remembered practically every detail just like a song that you can not remember the lyrics to save your life. But once you hear that song again no matter where you're at. Magically you suddenly remember every single word like you wrote the damn song yourself. So this was EDCLV 2016. And it was truly fitting that this happen the way that it did. Because over 17 years ago from actual date of the picture posted. This is exactly how we met in 1999. On the dance floor at an under ground rave in Sacramento. 23 years ago as teenagers we walked into each other's lives. 23 years later we walk together as men still as of today. Omar and I did not go in with Nick. But we communicated months, weeks, hours and down to the minute before we walked in to EDCLV. But once we got in. It was zero chance of contact. And believe me we tried. This was the pre-cell reception days at EDCLV. Amongst 150,000+ people. Of all places guess where we walk right into each other? We walk into each other at the dance floor at the 7-Up stage to catch @djdanmusic's set. We were right where we were supposed to be for this pic to exist. And I'm extremely thankful for these memories. I have found that these kinds of things have become fuel for my mental survival and adds to my soul. And it's really amazing to actually be able to say that our 23 year friendship was literally and unequivocally birthed purely from music. And still till this very day to the very moment as I'm writing this post as you read it. It is still one of THE most important dynamics and factors of our friendships. What it does to us and how it keeps us together. Not just us but, every single person that we love that we call our friends. Music has tied us to a bond that's held tightly together genuinely by unconditional love and sound. Read that last sentance again.
