“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

II did a full pack dump on Episode 29, but left out the most important kit I own—because it lives on my tailgate, not on my back. 🎯

Giving an animal time to expire before tracking is the difference between a successful recovery and a cold trail.
Check out Episode 29 of In Creation Podcast for the full gear list! 🎙️

Am I missing anything essential in my setup? What’s in your harvest kit? 👇

🌊 SOMETIMES GOD LEADS YOU INTO DEEP WATER

I asked God, “Why do You keep leading me through troubled waters?”

He answered, “Because the people who were meant to stop you were never prepared to follow you there.”

Sometimes the storm isn’t punishment.
Sometimes the struggle isn’t a sign that God has abandoned you.

Sometimes the water gets deeper because God is separating you from everything that was never meant to make it to the other side with you.

So keep walking.

The waves may rise.
The current may fight you.
You may not understand why He chose this path.

But trust the One who knows exactly how deep you can go.

What feels like drowning to you may be the very thing God is using to make sure your enemies can’t reach where He’s taking you. 🙏🌊

We spend so much of our lives chasing the next hunt. The next season. The next sunrise. The next opportunity to slip into the woods before daylight and watch the world wake up around us.

We think there will always be another morning.

Another November.

Another set of tracks in the mud. Another frost-covered field. Another walk through the timber with a bow in your hand and nowhere else you need to be.

But life doesn’t promise us another season.

One day, the boots may stay by the door. The fields may look different. The old stand may be gone. The people who once walked beside you may no longer be there. And the places that once felt ordinary may become the places you would give anything to stand in again.

That’s the part we forget.

We measure a hunt by the animal we harvested, the size of the rack, the distance of the shot, or the story we get to tell when we return home.

But years from now, those details may not be what you remember.

You’ll remember the cold mornings.

The sound of leaves beneath your boots.

The way the fog hung over the field.

The coffee you drank in the dark.

The person sitting beside you.

The father who taught you.

The child who watched you.

The friend who made every long walk worth it.

And maybe, most of all, you’ll remember how alive you felt standing there.

So don’t rush through the hunt chasing the moment you came for.

Look around.

Take it in.

Because someday, without warning, you may stand in that same field for the last time.

And if you knew it was the last time, you wouldn’t wish for a bigger buck.

You’d simply wish for five more minutes.

So while you’re still here…

Soak it in.
