A series of events to get lost in. Founded by @damian_lazarus.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This one is something else. Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler in the same booth at the same time, nobody really planned it that way. Miami 2010. The scene was different. These three were different. Everything felt possible ✨🌞
Still gives me chills honestly ! 🥰

Four years ago today I was in Miami for a double bill of my old friend @damian_lazaus party Get Lost and to shoot @davidguetta for his part in his enormous single ‘Crazy What Love Can Do.’

Part one, the rave, was fantastic. My first proper night out since lockdown and I managed 55,000 steps or twenty six miles and my first marathon. It’s fair to say that there wasn’t much gas in the tank for the Monday shoot but I dug deep and headed down to the location in a huge black SUV with my sunglasses locked in place.

I’d worked with David before for with a release on @ministryofsound back in 2004. It was an idea he’d written himself that saw him at seven different stages of life – from a newborn baby until the present day - with the unifying feature, that in each vignette, he was irresistible to women. It was the lad mag era and a fun shoot but tricky to get a day time edit as things headed in a steamy direction.

This time round the concept was ‘Thelma and Louise” – we shot @beckyhill and @ellahendersonofficial the following week in Barcelona – with David playing a stylised version of the investigating officer. This meant slamming the phone down, staring into space, taking calls on the roof and generally being frustrated as the girls go on the rampage.

Understandably he’s a very busy man so we had a fair bit of waiting around to do before we could shoot. David was wearing a white Gucci suit so channeling Miami Vice perhaps more than “T&M” but he didn’t normally wear a tie so asked if anyone could do that knot for him. The stylist had never done that herself so it fell to me. An oddly intimate moment that I executed with a single bead of sweat running down from my forehead.

Thankfully I nailed it first time. David thanked me politely but decided he preferred to go open necked and we moved through the sets with the slick professionalism you might expect. It was a relief to get to the airport in time for my flight home and, finally, the chance to sleep.
