County Blooms After Dark is a bold and playful twist on our bloom world, where cozy lifestyle storytelling collides with folklore, mystery, camp, crafts and a little chaos.

Second up, meet POISONOUS PETALS.

When a festive floral lifestyle special becomes the scene of a mysterious string of deaths, County Blooms host Jen is forced into full detective mode, racing to solve the case while uncovering the surprising dangers hidden within some of nature’s most beautiful blooms.

Guided by a folklore fable, Jen gathers her flower-loving friends after dark and ventures into the world of modern-day herbalists and healers to explore the misunderstood plants, ancient rituals and botanical magic that blur the line between fear and healing.

Had a wonderful night at Lee’s Palace taking in the dynamic and joyful work of Leenalchi, an incredible seven member pansori fusion jazz band. Pansori is traditional Korean singing, and fused with funky jazz rythms it’s pure joy.

If you watch Kdrama, you will have heard their music on shows such as Pachinko, Train to Busan, Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born, Revolutionary Sisters and others.

Thanks to Marion, Renna, Rebecca, Christine and Bertha for joining me. What a fantastic night!

And huge shout out to my super craft cousin @ginadriedgerart for the decorative comfy kicks!

I had a dream to spend a summer touring gardens and flower shops across Canada, highlight sustainable practices in the flower industry, and celebrate the local folks who work so hard to fill their communities with joy and beauty. The people I got to stand with here and our entire small but mighty crew are the ones who made it happen. It was an ambitious adventure on a shoestring, and it means the world to be able to share these wins with them.

County Blooms is connection, heart, creativity, generosity, and joy found in small, unexpected ways. It gives you a moment to slow down, pay attention, and see what sprouts. It’s given me comfort and purpose during very hard times, and knowing that it does so for others too just makes every petal of it worthwhile.

These are big wins and payoff for our little passion project that could, so thank you thank you for truly making OUR daisies brighter this weekend 🌸🌸

What a dream last weekend was! Our mighty little show @county_blooms was nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards, and we came home with all three!!

I’m still processing what a magical celebration it was and feeling incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this show to life. One thing I know for sure: this was one for the books.
