We don’t get together nearly as much as we’d like, but when we do, it’s always something special. 🥃🌵

Good people. Great pours. Better stories. No matter how much time passes, the laughs pick right back up where we left off.

SAUZED for life. 👑💚

Early Times, good times. 🥃🔥

Y’all know I usually chase the higher proof, but tonight we’re keeping it 💯. Not every pour needs to go Super Saiyan. 😂

Good pours don’t always need a hype train. Just Saiyan. 💚

Usually chasing the high proof, but tonight we’re keeping it Kosher. 🥃💚 Buffalo Trace Wheat Recipe in the glass and a little peace at Casa Munguia.

Good things come to those who wheat. 😂🌾

Frank finds Fiddler a fine freaking pour. Say that after a sip. 😂🥃🎻

First pour came with some heat and funk, but letting it breathe a bit got this one hitting the right notes. Bold, intense flavors that deserve some patience. Definitely a slow sipper.

A little fiddle, a little funk, a whole lot of Sauzed. 💚

Cafecito y chisme got a little more serious tonight 🥃☕️

Calumet 16 at 106 proof
Rich, dark, oaky, and right in my lane.

Some pours are for analyzing every note.
Some pours are just for sitting back, talking shit, and enjoying the night. 😂🔥

This one does both.

Sauzed approved. 🥃

A little sweet for me, but then again, I’m a higher-proof kind of guy. 😂 Over some ice, it’s not too shabby. For a quick cocktail pour with zero effort, it definitely gets the job done. 🥃🍎

I’ll be Frank, I’m a huge fan of Savage & Cooke. Their whiskey is different, and that’s exactly why I like it.

This single barrel hits with dark chocolate and toffee up front. It gets a little dry through the middle, then suddenly floods your palate with flavor. For sure, it’ll have you smacking your lips, but in a good way. 🥃🔥

Bold, rich and full of character at 63.3%.

Fun fact: Savage & Cooke is located on historic Mare Island, home of the first U.S. naval base on the West Coast. ⚓️

Four Corazón expressions finished in Buffalo Trace barrels, and @ingridboooo and I actually agreed on the complete ranking. 🥃🌵

🥇 E.H. Taylor Añejo
🥈 Weller C.Y.P.B. Reposado
🥉 W.L. Weller Reposado
4️⃣ Blanton’s Añejo

The E.H. Taylor was the clear winner. More flavor, more character and the best overall balance. The C.Y.P.B. came in strong at second, while Blanton’s surprisingly finished last.

Bourbon barrels 🤝 tequila. This is the kind of research I take seriously. 😂

Three years. Three different pours. 🥃🌵

⬅️ 2024
🎯 2025
➡️ 2025 Pasadena Total Wine Store Pick

My ranking:
🥇 2025
🥈 2024
🥉 2025 Store Pick

@ingridboooo preferred the 2024, but I’m taking the regular 2025. It had more of that barrel influence I look for without losing the agave.

Same G4 Añejo, three different personalities. The store pick came in last for both of us. Sometimes “store pick” doesn’t automatically mean better. 👀

Which one are you reaching for?
