I woke up yesterday knowing I had 18 miles on the calendar; 8 in the morning & 10 later in the evening! I wasn’t sure how I was going to get through it, but I knew it was somehow going to happen so I got myself out there… got up & dressed, filled up my water, grabbed my gels, electrolyte tablets, chapstick & sunglasses!

The initial 8 miles I got in with my girlie pop, @krissstinaelise ! It was a breathtaking morning in wine country; a combination of the perfect running weather, hot air balloons taking off in the distance & the sun rising before our eyes! It was a magnificent run; you just can’t beat the company nor the scenery!

Later in the evening, I linked up with @godspeedclubtemecula to get 10 miles in. It was here that I surprised myself!!! I conquered it at a pace of 8:51/mile which was crazyyy for my second run of the day. While the group stopped at Chick Fil A to eat, my buddy & I decided to get an additional 4 in so we could make the 18 miles! We Did It!!!

I love surrounding myself with the energy of high expectations for us to transform & meet a better version of ourselves on the other side of a challenge!

@temeculahalf training is going really well so far! I’m making sure to take care of my body through it all!

DMTF 60km - 50/60km ✅

Made the decision to call it night at 50km due to the course being an absolute disaster.

Extremely proud of what I achieved with how tough that course was. I will do a race debrief video tomorrow.

I absolutely love running. It is amazing how much it humbles you at times no matter what training you put in. That is the beauty of the sport.

Jesus gave me this body and It is an absolute privilege to suffer and to be able to push myself mentally and physically as far as I did to honour it and give honour to Him.

I can’t wait to get back out there again, but for now it’s time to focus on my family and the season ahead.

God bless you all and thank you for the support as always ❤️

We’re officially a month out from the Temecula Half!!!

If you’re not running to their site to sign up, then you’re doing it wrong!

Use my code ZARA20! It’ll save you 15% 😆

Don’t forget to join the @runclubonelmst team! We’ll see you in the vineyard!

My girlie, @krissstinaelise & I have been making sure to get our runs in wine country to prepare for the elevation gain! 💪🏽

Did someone say butter yellow? Cause if ya did, your girl understood the assignment! 💛💅😆

Thank you @gymsharkwomen for this beauty of a workout dress! I love the texture & the simplicity as well as how it fits!

@official_firstclassbodies came in clutch with the black shorties! I love that you can’t even tell they’re underneath! Functionality at its best!!

@getswifter is my very first vest so I was looking for something that I would potentially love, but at the same time it wouldn’t break the bank! Thank you @amazon This vest really came through for me! I love that it has a total of 6 pockets! The one in the back is the biggest one! The zippered front pocket is actually water resistant so my phone will be going in there so it’s safe! The vest did come with a water bottle so it’s a plus! There’s a pocket that will be perfect for my gels & electrolytes! There’s also a pocket for keys, chapstick etc!

Since I’ll be running the Nike After Dark Half marathon , I love that the vest is also reflective!

There’s two places that the vest can be adjusted… each of the buckles & on either side of the vest!

I’m already a fan of how practical this vest is & the comfort speaks for itself! I couldn’t say no to the soft pink option; it’s just so feminine!

Sincerely,
One happy runner!
