🏏 You know it’s going to be a special day of cricket when it begins with an impromptu batting masterclass from former Scottish Cricket President Sue Strachan... in a Regent Street shop window.

Brilliant to spend time with Leigh Burns, Katy Wallace, Alison Cotton and the team from Lacuna Sports at SOOO London yesterday, as women’s cricket took centre stage in the women’s sports store.

From the Watch Party for the opening women’s match of The Hundred, to a powerful women’s cricket panel this morning and a host of in-store cricketing activations with charities like Take Her Lead and Beyond Boundaries, it was fantastic to see so many young women coming into the store and engaging with the game.

Huge credit to Anne Onwusiri, Maya Herm and Laura Youngson for everything you’re building at SOOO – what a space for women’s sport.

It was then over to Lord’s for a day of live cricket and superb hospitality, thanks to Kate Miller and the ECB team.

A joy to connect with people from across sport including Youth Sport Trust, Team GB, Department for Culture, Media and Sport, Little Dot Studios, The Times, Sky, Sport England, British Film Institute (BFI), The Football Association, UNICEF and more, with so many inspiring conversations throughout the day.

A real highlight was catching up with Beth Barrett-Wild to talk about plans for the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2026, before watching the men’s game with Lucy Wray and chatting all things women’s rugby, netball and London Mavericks.

A perfect, joyful day of cricket, conversation and connection. ❤️

Our Women’s Cricket Networking Breakfast this morning at @soooldn!

We had an incredible panel talk with industry professionals: Sue Redfern MBE, Esther de Lange, Sara Begg, Natasha Miles and Sue Strachan - on the rise of Associate Nations in women’s cricket.

Thank you so much to everyone who came & made it such a special morning and finale to our Summer Innings: Celebrating Cricket festival at SOOO LDN. We are beyond grateful for everyone’s support & it’s been a tremendous 3 days of putting a spotlight on women’s cricket 💙🏏

Not bad for a weekend of work. The eighth @londonlandmarkshalf took place on Sunday and the fourth year working freelance for @gettheaffect on this incredible event. I think it might have been our best year yet in terms of coverage and these are just the highlights from the last few days:

@bbclondon covered the event on BBC One news and the radio across the weekend. Thanks @lauren_k_moore.

@itvnews came down to the event and chatted to @damekellyholmes and @harryclarky.

Kelly Holmes and the @loosewomen chatted LLHM on the show.

@instatubridy and @ayyconnor talked about the event on Monday and they're both signed up for 2026.

@lbc, @capitalofficial and @thisisheart covered all weekend. Thanks @radioaliceyoung.

News features across @thetimes, @theipaper, @telegraph and @thelondonstandard.

A great feature on @runnersworlduk courtesy of @r.l.boswell.

And @jennifalconer featured on her RunPod.

Great to support @gettheaffect on LLHM again.

🔥 LONDON LANDMARKS - love love loved it - what a race and SO much support all the way around!!! That was pure vibes.

Was brilliant to be on the start line of the race today and to meet people like Dame Kelly Holmes (as an athletics junkie this was a big dream of mine after watching her on tv growing up), my brill colleague Louise Minchin and so many great charity fundraisers!! 🙌🏻

Also brill to share the course with Lloyd Martin who has Down’s Syndrome - an absolute legend - who’s proving so many people wrong by running marathons and half marathons (and even dancing along the way!!)

Have to mention it - and this is no shade on the organisers who did a fab job to control a moving emergency situation - it’s a shame the course was 700 metres short making it not a half marathon - but that was out of the race’s control.

Great shape up for the actual @londonmarathon in 3 (!!) weeks time. Raised more than £1,500 for @mencap who’ve helped my brother so much. To donate - hit the link in my bio 🌞 Would appreciate any money towards making autistic/learning disabled people’s lives better in the UK ❤️
