Earlier this year I was given the amazing privilege of scoring the film @gettingbackfilm ~ not only this, but I was able to work with some of my very best friends to make it all happen. I’m not using exclamation points which should tell you that I’m emotionally overwhelmed by all of the memories associated with the composing, recording, editing… so many amazing experiences, loud cars at 8pm (iykyk), lessons learned, and pretty fantastic music if I’m being honest 💅🏻 ~ Thank you to Haven (writer/director/producer) for believing in me and commissioning me for this project! I’m so proud of what we accomplished together ♥️

🎬Creator Confessions:

What’s one filmmaking rule you intentionally broke?

We’ll go first…

We stopped chasing perfection.

Some of our favorite shots weren’t technically perfect, they were emotionally honest. We’d rather make you feel something than impress you with flawless cinematography.

🎥 Tag a creator whose work inspires you, we’d love to discover more independent filmmakers and hear their take!

It wasn’t easy choosing between so many incredible concepts. The creativity, effort, and originality truly blew us away.

After a lot of consideration, our winner has been chosen 👀

📣 NEW EPISODE ALERT!

From IVF to foster care to film—Haven and Koy have been through it. In the final episode of our #PrideExtravaganza, these two parents share their winding, beautiful, heartbreaking, and hilarious journey to their son, River. (Who, btw, is now starring in a movie. Casual.)

🎬 IVF? Tried it.
🦃 Turkey baster? Yep.
👶🏽 Foster-to-adopt? That’s how River came home.
🎥 New film inspired by it all? OBVIOUSLY.

This one’s loud (there’s a kid pretending to be a cat mid-interview), joyful, and real AF—just like queer family life.

✨ Listen wherever you pods! Link in bio.
