Last week, I had the privilege of teaching for the High Commission of India (Port of Spain) and the Hindu Cultural Association Grenada as part of the International Day of Yoga celebration in Grenada.

The theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” resonated deeply with me.

Standing there, I found myself reflecting on the journey that brought me to this moment.

Everything started with connection. The German-Grenadian Connection @gg.connection opened a door that led me to Grenada. What began as a community initiative became friendships, opportunities, and a new life.

Yoga has taught me something similar. At its heart, yoga is about connection - to ourselves, to others, and to the present moment.

As a physiotherapist and yoga teacher, my vision is simple: to create spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies and experience movement as a source of support, strength, and wellbeing throughout every stage of life.

For me, yoga has never been about touching my toes. It has always been about connection.

And for that, I am deeply grateful.

With the sun dipping into the ocean in perfect rhythm, we painted, sipped, and shared in the beauty of being present. The sunset itself became our muse — fueling the colors on canvas and the energy in the space.

This wasn’t an art class. It never is.
It’s art therapy — a space to breathe, connect, and create with no pressure, just presence.

That was our final session until June, and we’re already feeling the inspiration bubbling for what’s next. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’ll see you soon, refreshed and ready for more. #artgallery #grenadianartist #puregrenada #artist #creativecommunityhub #caribbeanart

Representing Grenada through art 🇬🇩. we had the opportunity to present Life After the Ether. A series from @tedtheartist one of our Grenadian collaborators during the @wannda.circus Cultural Festival in Munich/ Germany.

It was the perfect location to have a seat under a tree and get inspired by the story, creativity and special atmosphere at this place.

Thank you @wanndacircus for creating such a wonderful place full of creativity and to our Curator @gg.connection @jess__hell

„Confidence ~ My Journey through life is filled with good health and happiness.”
This was the theme of the cacao ceremony I hosted @thehouseofpractice in August.

Cacao is such a blessing and pretty underrated by most people. Indeed, it is a very healthy plant.

Here are some facts that cacao
- boosts your energy and focus,
- helps to protect the body against free radicals and reduce inflammation as it is high in antioxidants,
- lowers the blood pressure (flavonoids), improves blood flow and reduces the risk of heart disease,
- supports the natural stress relief (potassium, phosphorus, copper, iron, zinc, magnesium),
- has antidepressant and anxiolytic effects as it contains anandamide, the bliss molecule,
- improves your mood,
- can help to connect with the spiritual world,
- induces a state of mindfulness and relaxation,
- opens the heart and brings about a sense of inner peace and connection to the present moment,
- helps you to feel more grounded, present, and connected to your higher self.

It was a big pleasure to talk about the plant and its benefits, to guide the group through a deep meditation and to create a very special and magical space, supported by the voice and guitar play of my friend @tedtheartist .

I‘m still so grateful for that opportunity and this experience and it was definitely one of my highlights in the year 2023.
Thanks to @gg.connection. You made it happen. 🫶
