Summer fest is approaching! ☀️🌻⛱️🩱🌻🐠🐟🌊

SUMMER SOLIDARITY KICKOFF: SUMMER FEST 🕰️ 30TH AUGUST, FROM 4PM

Program starts at 17:00 • 19:00 & ~20:30 - Open Stage
DU lineup:
• Stur&Sensibel (Drunter&Drüber)
• Kontaminierungsalarm & Dana
(Boosterclub)
• Genderbender (Konsens / Fette
Fetten)x

OPEN STAGE:
The performers:
• Alexandru Cosarca - Reading
• Dorota Suránová - Poetry
• Melissa Nielsen - Poetry and Music
• Rasak - Stand-up Comedy

Why this is especially important right now:
Our cultural center 4lthangrund will be left without a space by the end of January 2026. Our rental contracts are ending, and our building - the "Old WU" - has been marked for demolition.
While discussions are ongoing with decision-makers (e.g. BOKU, University of Vienna), a short as well as long-term solution is still uncertain.
Since 2018, we've grown from a utopian project into a vibrant center with over 40 initiatives and countless annual events - including a food co-op, gallery, kids*space, garden, club room, neighborhood bike, screen printing workshop, and much more.

The next step in our campaign:
We want to secure social and cultural spaces in law.

Our demand to the City of Vienna: affordable, permanently secured social & cultural spaces all over the city - public, child-friendly, accessible, and non-commercial use included!
Get involved in the next step! Help make it visible - with flyers, posters, and social media. More info on-site at the fest.

bleibt dabei Konnex' Manier treu - "mind and genre bending trips".

@babsibbb is up next with her genre bending techno set from @montagu_bedxbeers. Full set on Yourube and SoundCloud now.

Barbara B found her way into DJing in Innsbruck and is now based in Berlin. She is part of @yakamoz_4u crew (luv) as well as founding member of @konnex_ . In 2022, she started the party series Gender Bender @ggenderbbender together with some crew members from Konnex and other allies. As a promoter, she focuses on showcasing artists who follow an approach to Techno music that is far from mainstream and mass appeal.

That is exactly what she wants to convey in her own
DJ sets. Barbara B is known for her versatile collection ranging from Breaks to Techno, from relatively slow to very fast. She equally loves the Techno sound of the 2000s and percussive, organic and drummy rhythms that are influenced by Dubstep, Jungle and Bass. In her sets, she blends those different styles, staying true to Konnex manner - “mind and genre bending trips”.

Last Friday was the final event of Longing for Belonging, with the performance “La Casa” with Aitana Cordero and guests, in collaboration with @scumcllctv who complemented the performance by presenting DJ sets and live-sets from noon to midnight.

During the performance, the constant action of construction and deconstruction of space, carried out with a group of people invited by the artist herself, refers to some of the problematic issues of housing specific to the Bolzano context. The extended performance La Casa by choreographer and artist Aitana Cordero was created in collaboration with iNEST – Interconnected Northeast Innovation Ecosystem project of the Mountecos competence center of the Free University of Bozen Bolzano. The performance was realized in collaboration with SCUM record label @scumcllctv
