WELL, I DID IT! 🏅🐝🤯
The ASICS Manchester Half Marathon is complete!!!! 🤩
My second half marathon of the year and my fastest one EVER — 1:50:45!!! 😭🏃‍♂️
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified going into this one. I really didn’t feel as prepared as last time, and after a pretty stop-start few weeks of training, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect.
But somehow, we did it!!!! 🥹❤️
Actually had an absolute blast out there. To cross that finish line with a new PB feels completely surreal!!!! 🤯🤯
From my first half marathon since 2019 in May, finishing in 1:56:20, to coming back and taking over 5 minutes off my PB… I’m so proud of myself. He’s a runnerrrrr. 🏅
A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, tracked, cheered and put up with months of running chat. The messages, voice notes and familiar faces cheering me on made the day even more special. I’m so lucky to have such brilliant people in my corner waiting for me! 🥹🩷 Adore you all!
Now for a very well-earned recovery, a lot of food and probably a little lie down. 😂🍕
