I was having a conversation with someone — and mentioned kids just want to post Division 1 offers, but you always have to remind them to do their work. I begin thinking about the seniors — who I rarely had to speak to (or at all) academically while at Rise Preparatory Academy the past two years who were seniors. I can tell, if you want to be great on and off the field. They all shared the same drive and mindset.

Academically and Athletically ahead of the Game: Gregory Florence

Gregory Florence is a 7th grade future phenom from South Miami 12U, that holds ACC and SEC verbal offers from the likes of Ole Miss and the University of Miami. Florence is already ahead of his class in verbal offers — he’ll also lead academically. Florence is a student at Rise Preparatory Academy — and he’s currently taking three high school core classes. Florence is on track to complete his 16 core classes during his 9th grade year in January. Florence will be a dual enrollment student at the end of his 9th grade year — and begin earning college credits for the next three years at Miami-Dade College. His parents understands the ultimate goal — and not just fulfilling athletic goals.
