Most people know that I don’t care for breakfast bacon. Never have, even as a child. My dear, smart-a** friend @ggory knows this and always makes fun of me for it, so he sent me two packs of bacon for my birthday. I howled when I opened the package and told him how funny I thought it was. He said funny, sure, but made me promise him that I would try some. So I did. This morning. I hate to say it, but I actually liked it! Didn’t love it, but damn sure liked it. Am I a convert? No. Do I like this stuff Greg sent me? Damn straight. Now, how do I get that cooked bacon smell out of my kitchen. Also: does bacon ALWAYS look like 🍆? Stay safe, everyone.

I realized as I was listening to Animosity, that this band was a connection point for so many people who would come to be my friends in college and beyond. Practically everyone I would come to know in Greensboro was at the Food Bank show in W-S. COC was yet another reason to be proud of being from NC. I didn’t know Reed personally but I did buy a t-shirt from him at said show. I wore it till it disintegrated. I’m sad he’s gone.
