A beautiful celebration of light, culture and the joy of coming together. ✨

A glimpse into last week’s Diwali festivities with @GauravGuptaOfficial x @Harrods, where the richness of Indian culture took centre stage through an exclusive presentation of festive couture.

Set within the iconic surroundings of Harrods, the evening brought together a wonderful community to celebrate the season of light, with Gaurav Gupta’s sculptural creations, live music and an atmosphere filled with warmth, colour and joy. A moment to honour the beauty of Indian tradition, the artistry of couture and the spirit of togetherness that makes Diwali so special.

Discover Gaurav Gupta’s exclusive festive couture trunk show, available by appointment until 2 November.

Excerpts from an interview with Gaurav Gupta (@ggpanther)

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to speak to @gauravguptaofficial to celebrate the launch of their first Paris showroom and discuss what it means for the house to establish a permanent presence in the French capital beyond the temporality of Couture Week, and how such a space will enable the building of a more intimate and enduring relationship with their growing global clientele.

Diwali is as much about the games around the table as it is about the lights, the mithai and the festive dressing.

From beautifully illustrated playing cards inspired by Indian art traditions to handcrafted Pallanguzhi boards, sculptural Mahjong sets and elevated takes on childhood classics, this year’s game edit brings a thoughtful design sensibility to festive entertaining.

Think Phool’s Chitralok playing cards, the embroidered Snakes & Ladders by Table Manners & Co., Ritu’s Meraki Art’s brass Pallanguzhi console and Gaurav Gupta’s limited-edition Mahjong set with HSBC. Each offers a different way to bring craft, nostalgia and a little friendly competition into the celebrations.

Whether you’re hosting a lively card night or looking for a conversation-starting gift, these are the games worth making room for this Diwali.

Because the best festive memories often begin when everyone gathers around the same table.

In celebration of the season of light, @GauravGuptaOfficial presents an exclusive trunk show at @Harrods, offering a considered expression of Indian festive dressing through the designer’s distinctive couture vision. Sculptural silhouettes, exceptional craftsmanship and a contemporary interpretation of tradition come together in a collection that celebrates the richness and artistry of Indian couture.

On Tuesday evening, the occasion was marked with an intimate Diwali celebration and fashion presentation at Harrods, bringing the collection to life in an evening filled with live music, vibrant energy and the spirit of togetherness. A celebration of culture, creativity and light, it was a pleasure to bring Gaurav Gupta’s vision to an institution whose heritage and standing in luxury are unparalleled.

Our heartfelt thanks to all our guests who joined us in celebrating this meaningful occasion.

For those in London, we invite you to discover Gaurav Gupta’s couture creations at Harrods. The exclusive trunk show continues until 2 November.
