We love all our couples, but sometimes you just hit it off with a particular couple in a way that really makes you feel you've known them for years! That was me with April & Michael. From a first look at the crack of dawn (!!! Around 7am) in Memorial Court, it was such an awesome few hours together, celebrating 8 years of memories. This was one of the more personal City Hall timelines I’ve photographed, built around the idea that the ceremony was only one part of the day, not the whole story. They incorporated African touches in honor of Michael's Tanzanian roots, and a lot of intention behind the coverage. For their civil ceremony, they managed to snag the 4th Floor South! We were so lucky to get that, as it made the whole thing feel even more intimate and tucked away. Just the two of them in this vast, beautiful space. After City Hall, we turned the rest of the morning into a little San Francisco adventure: @miette at the @ferrybuilding for cupcakes, a @ggpedicab ride along the waterfront, photos at Pier 7, and a cake-feeding moment that honored a Tanzanian wedding custom. The final photos were back at @1hotel.sanfrancisco, where Michael changed into a fun second look, and we did a few more portraits on the 8th Floor terraces that I happen to know! An elopement doesn't have to be simple or rushed! April & Michael's day is proof that your experience can be thoughtful, personal, city-filled, while also creating time for what speaks to you, and leaving time for the unexpected. For art. For pausing. For fun! Congratulations, April ♡ Michael! Three angles, one iconic bridge, and I still can’t pick a favourite. 📍How to reach each spot Plane view: grab a window seat into SFO, right side of the aircraft tends to catch the bay on clear days. Welcome Center: on the SF side of the bridge. Drive, rideshare, or take Muni bus 28. Parking fills up fast, so go early. Side-on view looking up at the south tower. Baker Beach: ten minutes from the Welcome Center in the Presidio. Muni bus 29 gets you close, then a short walk down. Late afternoon light is best, and the northern end gives the cleanest framing. #sanfrancisco #goldengatebridge #california #travel #views (San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge California travel photography different views perspective tips unreal angles drive muni sf videography plane America vacation holiday top baker beach welcome centre viewpoint sand pacific ocean swiss airlines sit right side)
