BEHOLD! The first full-length album from Monster Wave is being unleashed into the world on September 25th at Midnight! 🦇

Emerging from the depths of reverb-drenched horror, 'The Rise of Monster Wave' marks a chilling new chapter for your favorite ghouls. This 15-track album includes re-imagined versions of songs from the original 'Pazuzu Luau' demo, completely new songs, and a single rockin' cover at the very end!

'The Rise of Monster Wave' is a high-energy fusion of classic surf rock and vintage horror, perfect for fans of @the_ghastly_ones, @messer_chups, @satans_pilgrims, and early B-movie soundtracks.

Guitar/Bass - Casey Willis (@caseythebearded)
Bass/Guitar - Joel Shuman (@joelshuman)
Keyboard/Guitar/Bass - Ryan Grisso (@ryangrisso)

@theoutsect rocked the launch party for @creemmag Boy Howdy beer at @rubaclub. This was the first of two shows that I attended last night.

I was sure they’d be offering free beer there. The beer was $7 a can, but I did get a free Boy Howdy t-shirt, free Boy Howdy pint glass, and a free issue of Creem magazine.

Happy Birthday to our brother, the man… BIG DADDY GREY if you will. The Out-sect wouldn’t be sectin’ without this mean riff making machine. He also has amazing style, taste, beauty and grace. 😘 We love you Big Daddy Grey. Wish him a good one today.

These are photos I shot @fdrskatepark over the past 15 years. That space is so welcoming and so diverse and such a great community that I just get my best work there. If you know the people in the photos and they aren’t tagged, please tag. I’m hoping to put out a book of these in the next year. Thx Rich

Listen to and pre order the first single "Casualties of War" from the upcoming Society (@u2_is_a_government_drone )LP Reign of Flies!

Philadelphia’s Sims Hardin is back with a new Society LP, Reign Of Flies, which makes for a fitting follow-up to 2024’s All Flies Go To Hell 7 inch. In a time where even basement punk production is reasonably professional and sterile, this sounds like it was recorded on 4 track and mixed to a boombox— what a relief!

Hardin’s newest offering ranges from Crass style little-drummer-boy beats, to more experimental VU/kraut jams, with a bit of pop sensibility tying everything together quite seamlessly. Each song a scathing critique of modern… Society, with heavy emphasis on foreign affairs. While the debut EP lightly tapped into the general hopelessness of 2024, Reign Of Flies lyrically constructs a hall-of-mirrors around an undeniably bleaker 2026. Thematically it’s a reality-check, but musically the LP maintains an underlying fist-pumpin’/foot-stompin’/head-bobbin’ groove to keep even the most politically timid listener’s head buried deep in the sand.

Out July 31st on Under The Gun Records from East Los Angeles.
