Leaving some of Toronto's best in 2025 ❤️‍🩹

With 2025 nearly in our rear view, we must say good-bye to some great Toronto institutions. These long standing Toronto institutions have unfortunately reached the end of their journey. I cannot speak enough about the great donuts from Glory Hole, Hamers' coffee, Sounds Good’s chicken sandwich, Coco’s cakes, and Lamoon’s…. well, _everything_. For the lucky few, this is an opportunity move and evolve into something new and exciting.

So here is one last cheer to the dedicated purveyors of unreasonable hospitality. You will be fondly remembered and your deliciousness only revisited in my dreams.

1. Glory Hole Doughnuts (@ghdoughnuts) - 1505 Gerrard St E
2. Hamers Coffee (@hamerscoffee) - 870 Dundas St W
3. Rooms Dundas (@1756dundas) / Sounds Good (@soundsgoodtoronto) - 1756 Dundas St W
4. Coco's (@cocos.to) - 668 College St
5. Lamoon Thai Cafe (@lamoon.to) - 713 Gerrard St E

A day to remember. Farewell to a place I'd hound on Toast & Butter many many times over the years. @ghdoughnuts A chapter coming to a close this weekend. Thank you, Ashley, for bringing the most delicious doughnuts in town from Parkdale to the east side. A wonderful human being who toughed out the most heartbreaking times as a local business owner the past few years. Best of luck on your future endeavours and I hope we cross paths again!! You and the team are the best!!

It’s such a delight when your clients are amazing like Ashley, and become your friends.

When I asked if I could bring Gemma by for a little behind the scenes I had no idea there would be a whole station set up for her!

Gloryhole and Ashley are legends and you should visit them before they close this week! So sad to see them go, but can’t wait to see what’s next.
