September 22nd, I saw what was the final show at the Ghost Haus in Star. Boise straight edge hardcore band All That Matters kicked it off with a cover of Redneck Stomp and it got crazy. Infected Stench played after and of course they tear it up like always, like the technical deathgrind fanatics they are. Third up was the touring band Rank and Vile, hailing from Portland OR. They're a sick fucking grind band that especially has real killer drumming and a heavy, thick guitar sound. Their energy was great and they know how to put on a good show. Last but not least, Boise's 2005-originating fastcore heroes Hummingbird of Death closed out the night with a blisteringly intense set filled to the brim with constant blast beats and circle pitting around the island counter in the kitchen.

These last 2 shows have been nothing short of amazing and truly special for the Boise scene. Friday on the 21st, the 80s hardcore punk local legends State of Confusion made a grand return to the stage. It was super cool being able to see them live, and to see so many kids moshing and going hard to them. All the other locals Dead 2 Rights, Hummingbird of Death, the hardcore kings Ingrown and the death metal godz in Texas Ketamine killed it as well. Truly one of the best all locals shows of all time.

The day after, there were some cool shenanigans going down in a suburban living room (none of which I have pics of) and it was a fun time to say the least!
