this song is dedicated to my friend, gi, and our friend who passed away in november of ‘23, ally. we’ve managed to stick by each others side for years, even if it was from thousands of miles away. i love you both💗☀️

my dear friend ally passed away.

ally anderson and i met in april of 2020 through a hype house for our favorite band, twentyønepiløts. us and our friend gi instantly clicked and made a seperate group from the rest of the members. i remember within the first two weeks of knowing each other, we had a plan to meet and exactly what we wanted to do planned out. these two have been a rock in my life since, we have literally watched each other grow up.

ally was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, otherwise known as ARMS at 11 years old, and had 6 relapses by the time she was 16. i had the privilege of knowing her through 5 of those 6 relapses. she is the strongest person i think i will ever know. she is leaving a HUGE legacy and a hole that no one will ever be able to fill behind because of her advocacy and passion.

it makes me sick to think that she really is gone, and that we will never exist in the same room. that i will never hear her laugh bounce off the walls around us, we’ll never hug, we’ll never experience life in its purest form. this has also made it difficult because our friendship almost feels invalid because there’s no physical evidence of it. but it did exist, and it was one of the most beautiful friendships i’ve ever had the privilege of experiencing. she was so full of life even though hers was so cruel, and i’m gonna miss our conversations about our aspirations and life and our struggles. i’m gonna miss our buzzfeed and uquiz quiz nights, facetime sleepovers, text updates, acnh dates and fantasizing about what it’ll be like when we meet. if you’re still reading this, go read a bit of a book, or listen to taylor swift, or spend time with your pet for her. do it because that’s what she loved, and you still have the privilege of loving. ally helped teach me what love was, so continue to spread it for her.
