Do not post anything unless you are my actual friend in life and you understand:

1. He's a new dog in our lives.
2. We never had a "leave it" issue.
3. He has a sensitive stomach.
4. He's never caught a small animal before, much less a dead one. I have had dogs most of my life and I've never experienced this issue.

This has NEVER happened before, so now we can make corrections.

Edit:
I have had had him for a year and we never had to train LEAVE IT. He doesn’t play with toys. He is 6? We adopted him last year.
He has had toys and has never had an interest to pick anything up with his mouth. Max met death row, at least, TWICE and he rescued our family a week before he was going to be put down. I lost my dog 6 days before he came into my life.
He has a very sensitive stomach, something common in the GS breed.
The dog was not hurt and everything we tried was done quickly. I LOVE MY DOG. 15+ minutes Max had a squirrel in his mouth! (A random guy recorded this video on his phone.)

I hope this makes you laugh today. It was serious!!! I was desperate.

We tried kicking the squirrel out of his mouth, a broomstick, water, suffocating his nose, and a stick with a clamp. They wondered WTF I was about to do. The guy sent me this video. Drew said JIU-JITSU wasn’t for the streets. Wrong! Took out the dead squirrel out of my 75 pound German Shepherd Husky’s mouth! Got my hooks in! Haha

4 dudes would not come to my aid. I had no choice.

Everyone was afraid of being bit hard. Not me! Jiu-jitsu for the win!!!!

Yes, I was a little scared of the dead squirrel. It was gross. Edit:

“Yes — absolutely. A 75-lb German Shepherd/Husky mix can have a very strong bite, especially because both parent breeds are large, athletic working dogs.

A few things are worth knowing:
