❤️ What is SALON? 🔥

A party by @hebenon_dj, whether backyard or club, for love of creativity in all its forms. “What do you do?” Scratch that. “What do you love doing?” Salon is a place to show or ask it. Come solo or with your friends. Dance up the front or chat out the back. We’re all there for one reason. To better know and feel what we’re all bringing to our one shared fire.

Consider grooving with us at the SALON8 summer day party on Saturday November 14th in the @theladyhampshire garden, from 3PM. All free. More to come on that soon.

In the meantime, flip through this scrapbook from previous Salons at @club77sydney, @burdekinhotel, @homesydney, and the Khoudair family home.

Love—from the ground up.
Love hearts—knitted by my aunty,
Marcus

I loved hand making each lotus flower to create a unique styling experience for Call to Presence. All the materials were sourced at @achievesewingbasket to make these lotus flowers🪷

This styling created a cosy, gentle space for people to share, be vulnerable and learn about each other.

Come join us for the next Call to Presence with @giannadianthee who creates a space for people to slow down enough to hear themselves, ask courageous questions, and form meaningful connections along the way.

On the 26th of July, Gianna is hosting a gorgeous meditative practice known as Call to Presence. A COVID born project, this space is for people who love to learn more about themselves and lean into others. Join us for a nourishing evening of shared meditation, self-inquiry, deep listening, open-hearted conversation and community.

I am beyond excited to be styling this event for my dear friend @giannadianthee as a part of @theshahstudio_

Completely out of order, but! In the past few months I met @giannadianthee in person FINALLY after 3 years of incredible, compassionate, and unconditional internet friendship. I performed @thepocket_dc for a 2nd time with wonderful folks from different corners of the DMV. I went to my first Theravada Buddhist temple with Gianna and Emilia in WV, and put on a lil’ roof top concert for friends. Speaking of, I have spent quality time with the people around me and have tried my darndest to be present and grounded. I also caught 2 intentional sunsets but should try to see more.

Most importantly, I did my laundry. That ain’t easy sometimes.

Why is it important to reflect on the history of mindfulness?
so we start our journey into the exploration of the cultural and spiritual roots of meditation practice and we are soooo grateful to @giannadianthee for being so delicious and so wise.
