I’m sure you already know this but HFM are huge fans of supporting local WA artists. Every Tuesday from 6pm you can hear an hour of mostly recent releases in the WA Music Hour. This is followed at 7pm by In The Scene where you will hear 2 hours of the latest releases plus interviews and occasionally a live acoustic performance. Then from 9pm it’s time for Shaggy & Max with It’s A Rap which is not exclusively WA music but always features some local music alongside tracks from around the country. So make sure you keep it locked to 107.3HFM every Tuesday night. You can listen back to a full recording of all our speciality shows on the HFM website. Here are a list of the tracks from last weeks WA Music Hour.

Everything is so late this week, mainly cause it was a hectic weekend. I helped on our outside broadcast from Willetton Youth Fest Saturday. That’s usually my day to prepare all my show stuff but instead I’m doing that right now, while listening to the playlist from last weeks show and hey you could do that too. The playlist for show 105 is live and it had a few debut singles and lots of other killer new tunes too. So turn it up and hit repeat!

I have said before that I’m not a big fan of phone interviews, as it’s hard to build a rapport with the guest. When your guests are as charismatic as Matt Gresham and Autumn Sage it’s definitely not a problem. Two great chats with two great guests and so much more, like 2 first plays on new singles from Karianne and Caspian Gray, debut singles from Divan, Willow Park & Lachy Dods plus loads more great new music. You can listen to a recording of the full show on the In The Scene page of the 107.3 HFM website. The Tidal & Spotify playlists will be added to my linktree later this week once all tracks I played are released.

If you are feeling a bit flat after way too much chocolate or would love to go out but there is just nothing open, I have a solution. Why not have a listen to the playlist from last Tuesday’s show? It’s got a real mix of vibes and you would be helping these artists while also maybe discovering some new faves. It’s up on both Tidal and Spotify and links are in my bio to not just this but all 104 previous shows so you always have local WA music you can listen to. #perthmusic #inthescene #perthmusicscene #wamusic #wamuisicians

It’s not an April fools joke, although some might disagree. Last night it was just me in the studio so I still took a selfie and I played a ton more music than most weeks. There were debut singles from ODOG & S.h.a.u.n, 2 tracks from the Monotonic album and 3 from the Wack Mammoth debut EP. You can listen to a recording of the full show on the In The Scene page of the 107.3 HFM website. The Tidal & Spotify playlists will be added to my linktree later this week.
