POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In 2018 I walked into @paxaus for the first time, knowing no one. I didn’t know what it was about, or whether I’d even enjoy it.

Eight years on, it’s one of my favourite weekends of the year, and it’s become less about the con (respectfully) and more about the people. Friends I see a handful of times a year, all in one place, for one reason.

I’m historically bad at getting photos with people. I tried harder this year and still fell short, so thank you to everyone who made sure we got one, and sorry to those I missed.

Miss you all already. Counting down to next year. ✌️💜

A little corner of the internet, all in one room.

The MANHANDS x SHADS Meetup was without a doubt our favourite part of PAX. Our first community meetup in direct partnership with a convention, at Australia’s biggest gaming event, became one of the biggest community meetups of the whole weekend. Thank you for showing up the way you did.

Seeing that room fill with people who’ve become such a big part of our lives was something I’ll never forget. Thank you to everyone who came, said hello, shared a hug, and made time for us. You made our weekend.

And love to everyone who arrived a little late for the photo but still came along. You’re just as much a part of this.

A huge shoutout to @scottsad0rk (Dadelaide) for getting behind the camera and capturing this moment for us!

Thank you to @paxaus for giving us the space to bring everyone together. Next year, we’re gonna need a bigger room.

You don't get nights like this in Brisbane, nights that truly make you feel more connected to those around you, as well as yourself. There's a reason the other shows this year have had audiences of over 60 people.

On this night, 6 people share true stories about their lives. It reads one way here, but a completely different way in the room.

Meet all your storytellers for a one of a kind night.

There are 13 tickets left, and they're just over 30 dollars.

🎡💜 POV: You survived PAX… but now you have to survive the PAX blues. 🥹

Anyone else go from days of excitement, incredible people, amazing indie games and barely any sleep… to sitting at home wondering what to do with themselves? 😂😭

Because SAME.

The post-convention comedown is REAL, and I've definitely been feeling it since coming home from PAX Aus 2026.

Sometimes it's not just the event we miss. It's the people, the connections, the excitement and that feeling of being surrounded by people who just get you. 💜

So I've put together a little guide for anyone else feeling flat, emotional, exhausted or just missing that PAX magic. 🫶

✨ Give yourself time to recover.
💜 Let yourself feel the feelings.
📸 Hold onto those memories.
🎮 Keep playing and supporting indie games.
🫶 Stay connected with your community.

You can be grateful for an amazing experience and still feel sad that it's over. Both things can be true. ❤️

👉 Swipe through for some gentle reminders, and remember, the community doesn't end when PAX does!

💬 Community check-in: Have the PAX blues hit you too? What's one memory from this year's PAX that still makes you smile? 💜

Last Thursday, we opened the doors of a WEHI lab to two very special guests: @teamstarkk_ and @lunacardsau.

For years now, Team Starkk’s community has rallied behind Cure Cancer through Game On Cancer®, turning their streams into real funding for emerging researchers, raising over $120,000 along the way. This time, alongside the team from Luna Cards, they got to see exactly where that support goes.

Dr Sarah Diepstraten, a Cure Cancer grant recipient and Senior Research Officer at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), walked the group through her lab and her research into aggressive blood cancers, including how a faulty gene called p53 can switch off a cancer cell’s natural ability to self-destruct, and how her work is chasing a second way to reach that switch.

It’s a fitting place for that conversation. @wehi_research is also where, decades ago, researchers discovered the protein behind venetoclax, a blood cancer treatment now used around the world. Sarah’s work continues in that same tradition: backing a bold, unproven question early, long before anyone can promise where it will lead.

Thank you to Dr Sarah Diepstraten and the team at WEHI for opening your lab to us. And thank you to Team Starkk and Luna Cards, who have raised over $120,000 for Cure Cancer, for taking the time to see, firsthand, where it goes.

This is what your support makes possible.

Shoutout @austincreedwins for coming down under and being so incredibly lovely and @rowrestlingau for helping to put on Dungeons and Dropkicks because that was an absolute blast!

PAX day 0 was one to remember 🥹😍

The day started with an exclusive walkthrough of @wehi_research . Where Sarah and her team showed us through the lab and shared with us how our fundraising has directed impacted the strides in their work. 🫶🎗️
Thank you so much to @jackhuddo & @gameon_cancer for organising this ❤️

Then the legends @jess_lunacards , @kearnzy_lunacards and the team opened up @lunacardsau for us to have a private hang out, cranking packs and sharing a laugh! ❤️🫶

THEN, we had the @ubisoft mixer where I just walked in the door and won an award 😅😍
Thank you for an awesome start to what is going to be an unforgettable weekend!

Bring on @paxaus 🤙

PAX Day 0 was absolutely UNREAL! 🤯

We were so incredibly lucky to have been able to visit the WEHI and see some of the incredible research going on in the cancer space. As part of everything we’ve done with @teamstarkk_ and @gameon_cancer , it was unbelievable to see where that money is actually going. Real people, real stories, real CHANGE. It was truely an unforgettable experience! 🫶
